2026: VK's Final Season

The property has been purchased by a new owner who will not be renewing our lease. 

We know this is hard news. It is for us too. The Board has done everything we can to prevent this outcome, but ultimately the decision came down to getting the best final season we possibly could, and we’re committed to making it count.

The trail will reopen May 25 and remain open through August 31, closing permanently effective September 1. 

Thursday Night Group Rides will start May 28 and continue throughout the summer. Our NOMBS race on May 31 will be the last race ever held at the Knob, and we've moved KnobFEST from September to August 22-23 for one last hurrah—a true celebration of everything the Knob has been for the last 30-odd years.

The Board of Directors is exploring opportunities to build new trails on another property, with a goal of relocating our iconic features like the Cradle and the Suspension Bridge so pieces of the Knob can live on and continue challenging riders for years to come. 

We've always said that your financial support goes directly back to the trail, and that is still true. We still need your support to get through this season, and any funds remaining after closure will go towards new trail development. If we are unable to secure a new place to build, everything will get donated to CAMBA to help them continue supporting our other local trails the way they've supported us. 

We understand just how much the Knob means to so many people. It’s been a cornerstone of the mountain biking community here in Northern Ohio, a place where riders of all levels have come together to push their limits, make lasting memories, and forge strong connections. The Knob has truly shaped the local mountain biking scene and has been a symbol of what it means to ride, grow, and thrive as a community.

So come ride it. Bring your friends. Take one more lap. Or ten. Show up for the race. Be part of the last KnobFEST. Let’s fill these trails with the same energy, grit, and community that made them special in the first place.
