Ride Open Trails: Respect trail and road closures — ask for clarification if you are uncertain about the status of a trail. Please, do not trespass on the adjacent private land or property.
The trail system is about 30 miles southwest of Akron, 50 south of Cleveland and 90 miles north of Columbus. The venue has hosted a full mountain bike race schedule, including night races, 24 hour races, Xterra trail run races and adventure races, "The Knob" is considered the most unusual technical single track in northeastern Ohio. Small painted signs give indication about what to expect around the next turn, with names like Rock Tunnel, Fern Gully, Oh Sh#!, the Cradle, Friar Bryan's Forest, Ant City ...well, you get the idea. Creative and fun from the many log bridges to the cradle bridge and suspension bridge.
Vultures Knob is funded solely by user fees, donations and race income. We DO NOT receive any gov't assistance, grant monies or tax incentives. We are responsible for all expenses including property taxes, electric, garbage disposal, bathroom rental, tractor upkeep, and trail building materials. We are completely self-funded and a 501(c)(3) tax exempt public charity.
UNLESS YOU HAVE BOUGHT A SEASON PASS YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PAY EACH AND EVERY VISIT. IT'S SIMPLE. GIVE BACK TO THE TRAIL - DON'T STEAL FROM IT. HONOR SYSTEM.

4300 Mechanicsburg Rd Wooster, Ohio 44691 - use this address for GPS. There is no parking or entrance other than off the Access Road. Note: your GPS might point you to McAfee Road - don't go there. The Access Road is closest to W. Smithville Western Road and Mechanicsburg Road.
WARNING: Please use CAUTION driving the entrance road into the park. Think singletrack - but for cars and trucks. Slow down, please.
Vultures Knob is 125 acres along the majestic and mighty Killbuck River in the rolling hills of Wooster Ohio. The facilities are open 365 days a year (weather permitting) for open riding via donations or memberships!
This venue offers a glimpse into the past with old school fall line trails mixed with newer design concepts and features. The trails offer up some of the most challenging singletrack and most unique man made outdoor trail features the area has to offer. Over 120 races have been run at the Knob including epic 12 hour and 24 hour races, cyclocross, adventure races along with the popular annual VKGR MTB Series XC racing events.
